The story of Ouzo 12 starts in 1880. Ouzo was served at this time from wooden
barrels - and the recipe of the Greek host Kaloyiannis was in the cask number 12
which is particularly well done. From this on, he first filled the glasses for
regular guests and friends of the house, but therefore it was no longer possible
meet the high demand: Its up to now guarded family recipe brought him many new
friends and even more regulars.
